Food Premi: Building a Local Food Discovery Platform
Food Premi is our own product: a Gorakhpur platform where restaurants list for free and customers order directly on WhatsApp.
Designed and built by Yogesh Singh, Gorakhpur Website Wala
The problem
- Many small restaurants in Gorakhpur have no website or online menu.
- Delivery apps take a commission on every order, which small restaurants find hard to absorb.
- There was no local site to search restaurants by area or cuisine.
- Customers mostly relied on word of mouth.
What we built
A web platform that puts Gorakhpur restaurants online at no commission, with orders going straight to the restaurant on WhatsApp.
Restaurant pages
Photos, timings, menu highlights and location for each restaurant.
Search and filters
Find restaurants by area, cuisine or price range.
WhatsApp ordering
One tap opens a pre-filled WhatsApp order to the restaurant.
